The time is near! Seems like just yesterday I was putting away the tree from last year. Instead, we are busy putting up a tree once again. With the house all ready for the start of the holiday in our home, Thanksgiving, that means it is time to start thinking about gift giving. How many of you have already bought all your gifts? Me? I have not even bought 1! I hate to say it, but I am always the last minute shopper. Yes, I am that crazyfool that heads out Christmas Eve right before the shops close to find my gifts. This year I am going to try to change that!
Since I have a week off of school I am seriously going to write down what I want to give everyone and start planning for my Black Friday experience or buying those items online. One gift I KNOWwill make it to my list is a watch. Now you might call me old school and think there is no need to gift a watch with all that we have available today, but I would have to disagree! Watches are still a timeless piece to gift anyone. Not to mention they look great on the wrist!
The men in my life have become somewhat of watch connoisseurs over the years. They have quite a collection of watches that they wear for many different occasions. That is why I knowa watch will be on my Christmas list this year. But what kind of watch? I am definitely going with a new trend out there that really makes me smile - wooden watches. They are absolutely gorgeous and definitely unique timepieces that are designed with both sustainability and style in mind.
Recently I was given the opportunity to check out one of these watches and let's just say I am in LOVE with it! I really am! One of the biggest reasons is due to an allergy I have that prohibits me from wearing certain pieces of jewelry. This is not the case with JORDwatches though. These handcrafted wooden watches are crafted from wood which means "bye bye" allergies for me! Natural woods like Maple, Bamboo, Koa, Zebrawood, and Sandalwood, make these watches stand out for their pure artisan workmanship.
The one I selected was a beautiful watch in the Frankie series. Made from zebrawood, this watch features a beautiful face. Strikingly bold and beautiful, this watch has a domed sapphire crystal glass. Why is that worth mentioning? As a teacher, I know that diamond is the toughest thing out there because I had to teach that to my students in their rocks and mineral unit. But did you know that sapphire glass (basically crystal) is second to the diamond as the hardest and most scratch resistant material on earth? That means that it can pretty much handle all of our day to day activities without putting one single scratch on this beauty!
Imagine Christmas morning how you would feel if you were gifted this gorgeous watch! Wouldn't you feel loved and special? I know I would, and I can't wait to gift the men in my life a piece that is truly unique.
Here are my top 5 reasons why you would want to buy your cherished loved one a JORDwatch.
